Two children, Joseline, age 11, and her brother Andy, age 8, started to follow us around. They wanted to know if they could come to lunch with us to get some food. They came and ate more than we had ever seen two children eat. Later, they showed up on the video during the clothes distribution, were at the outreach with the children, and then the meal afterwards.
They also came to church on Sunday where we prayed for them. They are from a family of 11.
There are two economic classes of people in San Pedro — poor and poorer. The need can be overwhelming! Our hearts want to touch all the people at once with enough resources to provide for their basic needs.
Plant Today is committed to making an impact in San Pedro. We are there for the long term to help the local church teach and train their community physically and spiritually. Pastor Israel and Cecilia have provided us information on six families that we can help to make a difference now.
These three children are from a family of 8 who are also in desperate need of help.
End of Guatemala Families Supported.
A grandmother, mother and four children are a family we recently began assisting with the basic essentials of life.
We began assisting this family of nine in March 2009. The husband / father was not available when photo was taken.
This mother and five children, like the other four families, are very appreciative of the assistance they receive from our partners.
